Hours & Scheduling
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday : 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Wednesday and Friday : 8:00 am – 2:00 pm (reserved for sedation procedures)
Our office always attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and in an effort to optimize the experience you and your child have in our office. Preschool children are rested in the morning and their visits are ideally scheduled early in the day. School children with restorative treatment to be done need to be seen in the morning for the same reason. Most, if not all, restorative patients should arrive to the office on an empty stomach, having had nothing by mouth since midnight the night before the visit.
Dental appointments are an excused absence. Missing school can be kept to a minimum when regular dental care is continued.
Cancellation Guidelines
Since appointed times are reserved exclusively for each patient we ask that you notify our office 48 hours in advance of your scheduled time if you are unable to keep your appointment. Another patient who needs our care could be scheduled if we have sufficient time to notify them. We realize that unexpected things can happen, but we ask for your assistance in this regard. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for any appointment cancelled without a 48 hour notice. Also, if you habitually arrive 15-20 minutes late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule for the next available appointment time.
Emergencies and Appointment Times
We make every effort to stay on schedule in order to minimize waiting at the time of your appointment. There are times when our schedule is delayed in order to accommodate a child for an emergency visit. It is Dr Geshay’s promise that any patient of record suffering a true dental emergency ( swelling or chronic pain) will be seen that day. Most parents appreciate and understand this compassionate commitment. Please accept our apology in advance should this affect your appointment. Your understanding and patience are very much appreciated.
Parent Guidelines
Parents are invited to stay with their child during all cleaning and restorative visits. The only exception pertains to when a child is having an oral sedation or IV sedation appointment; where it is in your child’s best interest to be brought into the operatory alone
We ask that only one parent accompany your child into the clinical treatment areas, for preventive and routine restorative visits, due to operatory-size constraints and to reduce any distractions that could negatively effect the treatment success. Likewise, for safety and privacy, children that are not scheduled for an appointment are asked to remain in the reception room. If you plan to bring more than one child to the appointment, please arrange to have another adult accompany you to our office. Young children in the reception room may need a supervising adult.
